Farmer is one of the most dangerous occupation in Victoria.
A farmer most of the time has to work alone under harsh weather condition, poisonous chemical product, loud noise from vehicles and might not be able to respond in some critical situations.
Farmate is an iOS application developed as a safety assistant for farmers.
• Current weather condition and warn user to take protection if the weather can affect their health.
• Database of 15000 agricultural chemical products for easy tracking of products used at the farm and provide helpful informations for farmer to prevent poisoning.
• Monitors the ambient noise level to notify farmers of dangerous noise that can affect the farmer’s hearing.
• Senses the farmer’s movement to detect critical conditions when the user can’t respond to alert emergency contacts automatically.
